Design
Large Arbor Saltwater Design - Sage makes their Enforcer as a mid-priced model with all of the features needed to tackle a wide range of species and fishing environments. Sage went the more-classic route to the Enforcer's size while offering excellent line pickup as a result of its narrow construction. Further convenience is added through Sage's Radius Cornered Reel Feet which works to prevent abrasion when wrapping your leader around your reel or when you need to make quick work out of managing your line in that initial run of a tough fish. Hard Anodized - Sage's Enforcer has a Hard Anodization that remains durable while coming in a range of matted colors. Sealed Carbon Drag System - Sage builds their Enforcer series of reels with their Sealed Carbon Drag System. A drag system that's smooth, reliable, and has ample stopping power, the SCS Drag is made with top-notch Carbon Drag Discs and each reel is hand-calibrated for peak performance. Sage also makes operating this drag system about as easy as it gets-simply turn the large single-revolution drag knob to your preferred setting and you're ready to go. But how do I know exactly what my preferred setting is? Well, Sage makes that easy and intuitive with their easy-to-read numbered settings and audible clicks-gone are the days of finding yourself in a jam whenever you've got a hot fish on the end of the line.
Sage also increased the maximum drag of this reel by 50% over their Spectrum Max. This equates to eight pounds of drag on their 7-8 weight model; fifteen pounds on their 9-10 weight model; and seventeen pounds 11-12 weight model.
Materials - Sage builds their Enforcer with high-quality Carbon Drag Discs and equips it with larger O-Rings than previously used to increase durability and reliability in the seal. Large Arbor - Since this reel was designed for chasing some of the toughest fish on the planet, Sage makes it in a Large Arbor design. Beginning with their 7-8 weight model, you get a reel with all of the space you need to pack it with backing and provide solid line pickup, and each bump in size only further increases your backing capacity and pickup speed. Although this reel is made with a Large Arbor, it offers a streamlined and narrow construction that other reels on the market don't tend to have. Whether you're going with their 7-8 weight size to take to a flat for bonefish or want 11-12 weight for something more pelagic, you're sure to be impressed with this reel's line pickup and backing capacity.
Warranty
Sage Warranty - As of January 2023, Sage's Enforcer Reels are covered by their original owner warranty against defects in materials or workmanship. This warranty is limited to the replacement or repair of your reel, and whether your reel is replaced or repaired will be decided at Sage's discretion. The warranty on the Enforcer does not cover things like theft, customization, damage done by fire, or intentional damage, nor does it cover consequential, indirect, direct, or any incidental damage caused by the use of the product. In situations where the warranty doesn't apply to your reel's issue, Sage will charge a $50 fee for repair.
